From Zero to 10-15 Clients Per Week!

Are you in a "dry spell"? If you're wondering where all of your clients have gone, massage marketer Ann Ross has a few suggestions. In an article, she offered these five suggestions (which she used in her own practice) to rebuild her client base.

Are you in a "dry spell"? If you're wondering where all of your clients have gone, massage marketer Ann Ross has a few suggestions. In an article, she offered these five suggestions (which she used in her own practice) to rebuild her client base.

1) Build an attractive website.

Include a nice photo of yourself, details of the type of massage therapy you specialize in, the clients and problems you work with, a biography and a clear and simple prices and services menu.

2) Position yourself as an expert.

What sets you apart? What's your specialty? What are you passionate about? Market that about your practice in order to be successful.

3) Network with other health care providers and business owners.

You own a small business. So do dozens of other people. Why not get to know these potential referral sources and work together? For example, chiropractors and acupuncturists would likely refer clients to you and vice versa.

4) Bill insurance companies.

Yes, you'll have to learn how to do it, but by billing, you will gain immediate access to hundreds of clients and boost your ability to earn thousands of extra dollars annually.

5) Offer complimentary 30-minute sessions to new clients.

This is a way to help you set you apart. Offer the option to upgrade to a full hour for a fee, and make sure to provide three to five gift certificates that your new client can share with friends, family, coworkers and others.

Today I’m going to bring you in behind closed doors and show you exactly what propelled me to success in only 6 months.  After I went through my “dry spell” for about a year, these are the marketing techniques that I implemented that set me apart from my peers and attracted clients into my practice.

While there are many different steps one can take to attract clients, (which I cover in my “Secrets to a Successful Massage Therapy Business” training), the following 5 steps took me to a place where I was finally succeeding in this business.  I was thrilled when I saw that my actions were actually making a difference and I began to do more and more each and every week.
